Privacy

Your music stays on your own network, between your phone and your computer. No account, no cloud, no tracking.

The app

  • Everything stays on your own network. Your phone and computer talk to each other directly over your Wi-Fi.
  • No account, no cloud, no tracking. You don’t sign up for anything.
  • Pairing is with your own computer only. Your phone only syncs with the computer you paired it with using the 6-digit code.

The play counter and notification access

To count what you listen to, the phone app needs Android’s “notification access”. Android then shows a standard warning that the app can read your notifications. Here is what the app actually does:

  • It only reads the title, artist and album of the song that’s playing.
  • It keeps only songs from your iTunes library.
  • It sends them only to your own paired computer.
  • Your notifications are not read or stored.

Don’t want this? Then don’t allow notification access. Syncing your playlists works without it; only play counts need it.
